【PERCAYA】
PERCAYA （ペルチャヤ）
インドネシア語で「信頼」という意味の言葉。
デザイナーがインドネシア に来た当初は外国人
という理由で、信頼されず、職人から製作を拒否される。

しかし、2年間様々なタイプのサンプル製作を
依頼し、コミュニケーションを取り続けたことで
職人の中でデザイナーに対する信頼が生まれ、
デザイナーの思い描いていたモノが形となった。

初期の作品達は、作品作りには欠かせなかった地名や、出来事から命名。

●アッパー：牛革 - バティックレザー

【バティックレザー】
バティック柄をレザーに刻印する技術は、比較的近代になってから発展したもの。インドネシアのバティック自体は古くからあり、ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録されているが、レザーへの応用はより現代の技術とデザインの革新によるもの。

バティックはもともとジャワ島で発展し、主に衣服に用いられてきた。伝統的なバティックの製法では、布にワックスを使って模様を描き、染料が染み込まないようにしてから染めるという手法が用いられる。レザーへの応用は、特にエンボス加工技術が発展した20世紀後半以降に見られるようになったと考えられている。

インドネシアの結婚式では、バティックレザーを使用した革靴が使用される事もある事から、非常に縁起が良いものであり、インドネシアの伝統的な技術をふんだんに使用した作品。

職人さんがひとつひとつ、
タグに至るまで手作りで製作していますので、

ございますので、ご理解の上ご注文ください。

完全受注生産式をとっており、
ご注文を承ってから製作致しますので
2週間～1ヶ月以上かかる可能性がございます。

全商品はオールレザーの商品ですので、
使用頂くほど艶が出て参ります。

中敷とアッパーの内側には主にスニーカーなどに
使用されるウレタンシートを使用しており、
着用頂くほど足に馴染み、
包み込まれるような感覚で履いて頂けます。


PERCAYA, which means "trust" in Indonesian, reflects the designer's journey in Indonesia. Initially, as a foreigner, the designer faced rejection from local craftsmen. However, through two years of creating various samples and continuous communication, trust was built, and the designer's visions became reality.

The name PERCAYA was inspired by the essential places and events in the creation process.

Batik Leather:
The technique of embossing batik patterns on leather is relatively modern. Although Indonesian batik itself has ancient origins and is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, its application to leather relies on more contemporary technologies and innovations in design.

Originally developed in Java, batik has primarily been used for clothing. The traditional batik process involves using wax to create patterns on fabric, which then prevents dye from penetrating the unwaxed areas. The use of batik on leather, particularly through embossing techniques, is thought to have developed in the latter half of the 20th century.

In Indonesian weddings, it's not uncommon to see leather shoes made with batik leather, which are considered very auspicious. These products utilize traditional Indonesian techniques, showcasing the cultural heritage in modern fashion.

Production Method:
Haute Couture: Made-to-order, which means it can take between two weeks and a month to create your item. For inquiries, please contact us via Instagram.

・The insole and inside of the upper are made from foam, commonly used in sneakers, making the shoes increasingly comfortable and snug over time.
