The product is a genderless mule.
I conducted a survey on Instagram, asking if the leather was hard and painful when the shoes were new. The majority responded that the leather does hurt until it softens. We have repeatedly tested and carefully selected the materials to ensure comfort.
For the upper back and insole, we use sheepskin, which is as soft as human skin, so you can comfortably wear them right after they arrive. The Royal uses cowhide for the upper, which is harder than sheepskin, so it may become painful after long periods of walking.
However, as you continue to wear them, the leather will soften and the discomfort will disappear.
The insole of these sandals uses a urethane cushion, typically found in sneakers. This is encased in sheepskin that has been meticulously hand-glued.
